Support

What kind of customer support do you offer?

We provide 24/7 customer support via email and phone to assist with any issues you may encounter. Just go to our Contact Us page to get in touch.

Are there resources available for onboarding and training?

Yes, we offer onboarding resources, tutorials, and training sessions to help you and your team get started effectively.

Can I visit one of your customers who has TMM installed?

Of course, get in touch with us here and we’ll organise a site visit at one of our customer sites.

How does the free trial work?

When you start a free trial with us, we send you our TMM Connect hardware and can either send an engineer on-site to help you install, or install it ourselves. Then we give you a full training session to make sure you get the best out of our service. We’ll organise a Data Review check in call halfway through to make sure you’re getting value. After the Trial period has finished, typically a month, you’ll decide whether you want to continue or just send the hardware back to us.

What kind of data can TrackMyMachines provide?

TrackMyMachines provides data on many key performance indicators, including:

  • Machine Uptime
  • Downtime
  • Utilisation Rate
  • Downtime Reasons
  • Energy Usage
  • Cycle Times
  • Setup Times

Is TrackMyMachines compatible with all CNC machines?

TrackMyMachines works will all machinery, not just CNC machines as long as it’s drawing power when it’s productive.

Can TrackMyMachines collect data directly from CNC machines?

Currently we have support for the following CNC machine controls:

  • Haas (NGC and Coldfire controls from 2008)
  • Mazatrol with MTConnect
  • Fanuc with FOCAS2

Coming soon are the following controls:

  • Brother C00 and D00 controls
  • Siemens with OPC-UA
  • Heidenhain with Option 18

What happens if there's an internet outage?

Our hardware stores data locally during an internet outage and will automatically send the data once the connection is restored.

Why do I need CNC machine monitoring?

Managing production in a facility that makes many different discrete products is difficult when you don’t measure how many hours your machines are actually running. When you start to monitor your machines, instantly you have a KPI that directly relates to your productivity.

How does TrackMyMachines know when my CNC machine is running?

We use algorithms specifically designed for machinery that used the current sensor data to infer the status of the machine.

Can TrackMyMachines be used on machinery other than CNC machines?

TrackMyMachines uses non-invasive current sensors to measure whether your machinery is being productive or not. That means you can monitor any machine that draws power when it’s being productive. We can support you with finding the right cable to clamp the current sensor around.

How does the hardware send data out of my factory?

Our TMM Connect hardware can either connect to your network with WiFi or Ethernet and send data securely (with client and host verified SSL) to our servers. You don’t need to do any port opening in your firewall. If you can connect to the internet from your laptop on the WiFi, we can send out data too. We can also provide a 4G Gateway that offers a completely isolated network to send our data through.

Billing

What if I don't want to pay a subscription?

When you buy a software subscription to TrackMyMachines you benefit from regular updates, ensuring that you always have the latest features and improvements. Additionally, TrackMyMachines manages data security and backups, allowing you to focus on your work without worrying about maintaining the system or protecting your data. Instead if you were to buy a one-off license on-premise there would be limited service and support.
